Technical Manager (Customer Service Team)

Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and innovative Technical Manager to lead our Customer Service Team (CST). This team is responsible for providing exceptional internal technical support and outstanding external customer service. Additionally, the Technical Manager will oversee the Solid Compounds Technical Center – Asia Pacific (SCTCAP), which supports our manufacturing plants in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan, and manages workshop operations and upkeep.This is a full-time, on-site role based in Perai, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

· Lead and manage the technical service team to support all commercial functional product groups.

· Oversee the workshop support team to ensure effective management of workshop equipment, machinery, and facilities.

· Mentor, train, and develop team members to ensure competency and growth.

Customer Service

· Design, monitor, and execute customer service projects to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.

· Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders regarding project statuses, and review and approve final outputs.

Project Management

· Prepare, plan, and allocate necessary resources, including equipment and manpower.

· Prioritize workloads and gather input from relevant stakeholders.

· Conduct regular team meetings to review and analyze project progress.

Research & Development

· Conduct market-oriented research and product development to meet evolving industry needs and trends.

· Maintain and update product lines and all relevant regulatory and technical data.

Client Engagement

· Address internal and external queries regarding product lines efficiently and effectively.

· Represent the company at customer meetings, industry conferences, and technical workshops.

Skills

· Proficiency in standard extrusion modelling software and techniques, polymer-related test methods, and field applications.

Requirement

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Polymer Engineering, Applied Chemistry (Polymer), or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 8 years of industry experience in plastic compounding or related downstream extrusion activities.
Proven expertise in relevant product lines, including black masterbatches, white masterbatches, conductive compounds, and additive masterbatches.

Senior Technical Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Technical Senior Engineer to join our Functional Compounds (FC) development team. This team is a crucial part of the Solid Compounds Technical Center – Asia Pacific (SCTCAP), supporting our manufacturing plants in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan. The FC team is focused on developing functional products, including black masterbatches in engineering plastics applications, conductive compounds, and sustainable masterbatches.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Perai, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

· Design and oversee product development projects, ensuring timely progress and successful completion.

· Plan and allocate necessary resources, including equipment and manpower, for project execution.

· Prioritize workloads and seek input from relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient project management.

· Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders regarding project status, and review and determine final outputs.

Team Management

· Conduct regular team meetings to review and analyze project progress.

· Provide appropriate training, support, and mentoring to junior engineers to foster their development and ensure team competency.

Research & Development

· Conduct market-oriented research and product development to meet evolving industry needs and trends.

· Maintain and update product lines and all relevant regulatory and technical data.

· Independently perform the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle for project development.

Sales Executive

Job Description

Develop and execute strategic sales plans and ensure sales performance and effort targets are met monthly, quarterly and annually.
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company's client base.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
Conduct market research to identify potential businesses and evaluate customers’ needs.
Monitors competition by gathering current market information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, customer service levels etc.
Clients visiting and engaging them in high-level negotiations, promptly addressing client enquiries.
Handle customer enquiries and/or complaints promptly, investigate problems and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution.
To assist in any other task as and when required by management / immediate superior.

Requirement

Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Chemistry, Science or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience in similar capacity, preferably in the compounds, plastic or semiconductors industries.
A strategic & analytical thinker with the ability to interpret sales information & translate into business strategies.
Possess a strong sense of responsibility, urgency and commitment to efficiently meet deadlines.
Results oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia – both written and verbal.
Good presentation skills, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Possess effective leadership, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
Proactive, responsible and possess a strong teamwork mindset.
Possess own vehicle and willing to travel as and when required.
