KUALA LUMPUR: The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) looks forward to regular engagements with the incoming federal government on policies that affects goods productions and exports.
In a statement today, FMM highlighted that as the voice of the Malaysian manufacturing sector, FMM looks forward to work alongside with the new government to strengthen our economy, especially in this disruptive technology and Industry 4.0 era.
The importance of manufacturing in economic development is crucial given the sector’s significant value-added contribution to the economy and job creation in highly skilled sub-sectors.
FMM extends its congratulations to Pakatan Harapan on winning the 14th General Elections and lauds the swearing-in of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as Malaysia’s seventh Prime Minister.
"We look towards the Malaysia Incorp policy of close co-operation between the public and private sectors," said FMM.
"We hope the incoming government will reduce regulatory burdens so that Malaysian industries can be more competitive in the global market," added FMM.
Since 1968, the FMM represent the views and interests of over 3,000 manufacturing and manufacturing services companies.
