INTRODUCTION
Employment contracts serve as a foundation for employer-employee relationships, ensuring clarity on job expectations, legal obligations, and rights of both parties. With the Employment Act Amendment 2022, various changes were introduced, affecting contract terms such as working hours, maternity and paternity leave, discrimination policies, and flexible work arrangements. This webinar will provide a practical guide on how to draft a legally compliant and effective Letter of Employment, ensuring alignment with the updated Malaysian
Employment Act.

OBJECTIVES 
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the legal framework governing employment contracts in Malaysia under the Employment Act 1955 (Amendment 2022).
  • Learn key components of a legally compliant Letter of Employment.
  • Identify the differences between contract of service vs. contract for service.
  • Understand the mandatory employment terms under Malaysian law.
  • Learn to draft an employment contract that aligns with company policies while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Recognise common contract pitfalls and how to avoid them.

He has 38 years of experience across diverse industries. He has professional certifications that underscore his commitment to excellence in various domains. He is certified as an HRD Corp trainer, showing his proficiency in developing and delivering high-impact training programs endorsed by HRD Corp, a recognised authority in human resource development in Malaysia. In addition, he holds accreditation as an Occupational Safety and Health Officer (OSHA) from the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), attesting to his expertise in
promoting and maintaining safe working environments in compliance with regulatory standards. He has acquired profound knowledge through participation in diverse training programs, encompassing areas such as Training Needs
Analysis and Evaluating Training Effectiveness, underlining his expertise in optimizing learning interventions to meet organizational objectives.
