FMM–SOCSO Seminar on the Employees' Social Security (Amendment) Act 2026 & Employment Insurance System (EIS): Understanding LINDUNG 24 JAM and EIS Benefits

The Non-Employment Injury Scheme (LINDUNG 24 JAM) was introduced by the Government and came into effect on June 1, 2026 under the Employees' Social Security (Amendment) Act 2026. While contributions under the Scheme are fully borne by employees, employers are responsible for administering salary deductions, remitting contributions to SOCSO, and ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements. Following the Government's latest announcement on July 8, 2026, participation for local employees is now optional, while the Scheme remains mandatory for foreign workers in accordance with the prevailing legal provisions.

In addition, this seminar will also provide an overview of the Employment Insurance System (EIS) under the Employment Insurance System Act 2017 (Act 800), including its objectives, coverage, available benefits and benefit application procedures. Participants will gain practical guidance on both schemes and have the opportunity to raise company-specific implementation issues directly with SOCSO officers.

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:
Understand the implementation and latest updates on the Non-Employment Injury Scheme
(LINDUNG 24 JAM) under the Employees' Social Security (Amendment) Act 2026.
Understand the objectives, coverage, benefits and claim procedures under the Employment Insurance System (EIS).
Gain a better understanding of employer responsibilities, contribution requirements and statutory compliance under both schemes.
Obtain practical guidance from SOCSO on company-specific implementation issues and compliance requirements.
