Strategic Forum on Malaysia–Bangladesh Trade & Investment Opportunities on September 24, 2026

FMM President, Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok, accompanied by FMM Deputy President Dato’ Andrew Goh Boon Kim, FMM Vice President Dato’ Gan Tack Kong, FMM Council Members Dato’ Nathan K. Suppiah, Dato’ Seri Dr Hj Haminnuddin Abd Hamid, Mr Ng Lai Choon and Dr Helena Eian Yeut Lan, Chairman of FMM Selangor and Kuala Lumpur Branch, and FMM CEO Datuk Dr Yeoh Oon Tean, hosted a Strategic Forum on Malaysia–Bangladesh Business & Trade Opportunities: “Unlocking New Avenues for Trade, Investment and Industrial Growth” with a 40-member delegation from the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), led by Mr Taskeen Ahmed, President of DCCI, on September 24, 2026, at Wisma FMM.

The forum provided an opportunity for Malaysian and Bangladeshi business representatives to exchange views on Malaysia–Bangladesh trade and investment relations and explore opportunities to strengthen business, trade and industrial cooperation between both countries. Discussions also covered potential areas for business collaboration across various sectors represented by the DCCI delegation.

The forum also marked the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FMM and DCCI, reaffirming both organisations’ commitment to strengthening business linkages and fostering greater cooperation between the Malaysian and Bangladeshi business communities.

The programme concluded with a Business-to-Business (B2B) networking session, providing Malaysian and Bangladeshi companies with an opportunity to establish business contacts, exchange information and explore potential areas for collaboration.
