FMM Receives Courtesy Visit from High Commissioner of Canada to Malaysia

October 26, 2026 – FMM led by its President, Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok, welcomed H.E. Jodi Robinson, High Commissioner of Canada to Malaysia, accompanied by Mr Eric Pelletier, Counsellor (Commercial) and Senior Trade Commissioner, for a courtesy meeting at Wisma FMM, Kuala Lumpur. FMM President was accompanied by FMM Deputy President Dato’ Goh Boon Kim, Vice Presidents Datuk Noraini Soltan and Ir Ter Leong Leng, and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Yeoh Oon Tean.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on Malaysia–Canada trade and investment relations, explore opportunities for greater collaboration between the manufacturing communities of both countries, and discuss avenues to strengthen business-to-business (B2B) engagement.

Discussions also highlighted opportunities to further enhance bilateral economic cooperation, particularly through the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), as well as potential collaboration in key sectors of mutual interest.

The engagement reaffirmed FMM’s commitment to strengthening Malaysia–Canada business relations and facilitating greater trade, investment and industry partnerships between the two countries.
