FMM President Attends Meeting with Swiss Business Delegation on October 20, 2026

FMM President, Mr. Jacob Lee Chor Kok, attended a meeting with a visiting Swiss business delegation held on October 20 at Menara MATRADE, Kuala Lumpur. The meeting was jointly hosted by the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) and the Embassy of Switzerland in Kuala Lumpur.

The Swiss delegation comprised representatives from economiesuisse, Swiss Medtech and Switzerland Global Enterprise. The meeting brought together key Malaysian industry stakeholders, including representatives from the Malaysian Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA), the Association of Malaysian Medical Industries (AMMI) and the Medical Device Authority (MDA).

The meeting was attended by NCCIM Vice President Mr. Dzahir Jamudin, NCCIM Secretary-General Mr. Michael Chai, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Switzerland in Kuala Lumpur Mr. Alexander Schärer, President of economiesuisse Mr. Silvan Wildhaber, and Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Device Authority Datuk Ts. Dr. Muralitharan Paramasua, together with representatives from the participating organisations.

Discussions focused on Malaysia’s business and investment landscape, industry developments, emerging policy trends and market access opportunities. The exchange also explored potential avenues for strengthening bilateral trade, investment and industrial cooperation between Malaysia and Switzerland.

The engagement provided a valuable platform for strengthening business linkages, exchanging industry perspectives and identifying opportunities for future collaboration. It also underscored the importance of continued engagement between Malaysian and Swiss business communities in fostering mutually beneficial trade, investment and industrial partnerships.
