BEST PRACTICES ON E-DELIVERY ORDER (E-DO) / DELIVERY ORDER (DO) RELEASE IN PORT KLANG
Refer to the above subject and the Port Operations Committee (POC) Meeting No 1/2023 dated 20 March 2023.
2. The release of Delivery Order (DO) for import shipments by Shipping Lines is once of the processes in the supply chain management, which is directly related to container clearance process from the port. Timely release of e-Delivery Order (e-DO)/delivery Order (DO) will improve overall logistics efficiently in Port Klang.
3. In the regard, Port Klang Authority (PKA) with the collaboration of Selangor Freight Forwarders and Logistics Association (SFFLA) and the Shipping Association of Malaysia (SAM) have developed the "Best Practices On e-Delivery Order (e-DO)/Delivery Order (DO) release in Port Klang" as a guideline for Forwarding Agents and Shipping Lines to facilitate the release of e-Delivery Order (e-DO)/ Delivery Order (DO) within sixty (60) minutes, subject to terms and conditions which was approved at the above-mentioned POC meeting.
