FMM and EUROCHAM Malaysia held a Joint Task Force Meeting on November 3, 2025, for an in-depth Discussion on the Malaysia-European Union Free Trade Agreement (MEUFTA) negotiations. This high-level engagement was led by Tan Sri Dato’ Soh Thian Lai, FMM President, and Mr Donal Crotty, EUROCHAM Malaysia Chairman, demonstrating the strong private sector push for the successful conclusion of the MEUFTA. The FMM delegation included key figures such as Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok (Deputy President), Dato’ Gan Tack Kong (Vice-President), Dato’ Andrew Goh Boon Kim (Vice-President), Datuk Dr Yeoh Oon Tean (CEO), and Ms Shamini Sakthinathan (Deputy CEO). Representing EUROCHAM Malaysia was also Mr Karl Godderis (CEO).
The meeting's focus was to align industry positions and reinforce the commitment to securing an ambitious and beneficial trade agreement that will enhance trade and investment flows between Malaysia and the EU.
