The state EXCO of Melaka has agreed to establish the Public Transport Department of Melaka that will be presided by Datuk Ghazale Mohamad, Chairman, State Committee on Transport, Information, Unity and Consumer Affairs. Datuk Zainal Husin, General Manager, State Economic Planning Unit and Pn. Juliana Ong, Director, Road Safety Council ( MKJR) Melaka are the Operations Managers.

The rebranding of the bus companies will see all 13 public bus companies in Melaka using the brand name ‘Panaroma Melaka’. The buses will be red in colour. 65 new buses will be bought to replace the old buses under the first phase. The restructuring of the public buses is to provide better services to the public.
