Due to the many complaints received by the Branch on the sudden steep increase of the Business License fees effective January 1, 2011, the Branch arranged a meeting with Datuk Seri Hj Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam, Chief Minister of Malacca on March 11, 2011. During the meeting, the Chief Minister agreed to FMM Malacca's proposal to stagger the increase with immediate effect as follows:

1. Warehouse License - to stagger the increase within 5 years

2. Processing License - to stagger the increase within 3 years
