Tan Sri Dato' Soh Thian Lai, FMM President attended the 64th East Asia Business Council (EABC) Meeting on September 23, 2025, in Petaling Jaya. The meeting brought together prominent business leaders from ASEAN, China, Japan, and Korea. The session began with welcome remarks from EABC Chair, Tan Sri Azman Hashim, and Mr. Li Feng, the EABC Co-Chair for 2025.
The agenda focused on critical issues for the regional economy, including insights from the EABC-JETRO Business Outlook Survey 2025 and a report on the RCEP Business Advisory Council (RBAC). The discussions underscored the continued commitment of East Asian business communities to building resilience against "geoshocks" and accelerating the adoption of digital and sustainable practices to foster a more integrated and robust regional economy.
