FMM President Leads Delegation to IEMI 2026 in Bangalore, India from January 29-30, 2026

FMM President Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok led an FMM delegation comprising FMM Vice President Datuk Noraini Binti Soltan, FMM Council Member Dato’ Nathan K. Suppiah, FMM CEO Datuk Dr Yeoh Oon Tean, and Mr Eugene Kua Wui Seong of Sadagene Steel Sdn Bhd, an FMM member company to attend the Integrated Electronics Manufacturing & Interconnections (IEMI) 2026, held from January 29–30, 2026, in Bangalore, India.

As one of the Guests of Honour at IEMI 2026, the FMM President delivered the opening remarks and presented a token of appreciation on behalf of FMM to Dr John W. Mitchell, President and CEO of the Global Electronics Association (GEA). The event featured focused technology showcases and knowledge-sharing sessions across key sectors, including electronics, electric vehicles, defence and aerospace, advanced packaging, and supply chain resilience.

In conjunction with the visit, the FMM delegation was received by Ms Shamilah Perumal, Minister of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) India, where both sides exchanged views on strengthening industrial cooperation and business linkages between Malaysia and India.

The FMM President reaffirmed FMM’s commitment to strengthening Malaysia–India industrial collaboration and expressed his anticipation for the Malaysia Chapter of IEMI 2027, to be held in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
