New Electricity Tariff for Sabah and F.T. Labuan by Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SRO/06/2026)

The Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) on January 31, 2026 had announced a new electricity tariff revision for Sabah and F.T. Labuan effective on February 1, 2026.

The new average base tariff has been revised from 34.52 sen per kilowatt hour (kWh) to39.70 sen per kilowatt hour (kWh), an increase of 5 sen. The increase was inevitable to reduce dependency on Federal government subsidies and to minimise the power disruptions.
