FMM Leadership Pays Courtesy Call on YB Dato’ Sri Ramanan Ramakrishnan, Minister of Human Resources (KESUMA)

FMM Leadership, led by President Mr Jacob Lee Chor Kok, paid a courtesy call on YB Dato’ Sri Ramanan Ramakrishnan, Minister of Human Resources, at Wisma HRD Corp on February 25, 2026. The FMM delegation comprised members of its Presidential Committee namely Dato’ Andrew Goh Boon Kim (Deputy President), Datuk Noraini Soltan, Dato’ J Palaniappan, Ir Ter Leong Leng and Dato’ Gan Tack Kong (Vice-Presidents) and Dato’ Nathan K Suppiah (Council Member).
FMM took the opportunity to reaffirm its strong commitment to working closely with the Ministry of Human Resources in advancing national priorities under 13th Malaysia Plan, New Industrial Master Plan 2030 and Ekonomi MADANI. The discussions centred on strengthening productivity, talent and skills development, and workforce transformation, while emphasising a balanced and sustainable approach to labour reforms that protects workers’ welfare and supports long-term business sustainability and competitiveness.
Discussions also touched on labour law modernisation, foreign worker governance, implementation of the Multi-Tier Levy Mechanism, and strengthening apprenticeship, TVET and industry-driven talent development initiatives. FMM emphasised the importance of continued engagement and industry representation in national labour and skills platforms to ensure policies remain practical, consultative and aligned with economic realities.
