UPDATE 21/2021: Movement of Employees for Work Purposes Must Utilise Latest Approval Letter Issued from June 1, 2021

Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM) in a Media Statement (Ref: Item 2) dated June 6, 2021 announced that only letters issued from June 1, 2021 onwards by Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and 9 other Ministries and agencies will be accepted for movement of employees to and from workplace during Full Movement Control Order (FMCO) period. In this regard, members are advised to reprint the approval letter from CIMS 3.0 to provide employees with the latest document.

Members are also reminded that strict SOPs must be in place at the workplace and complied with including mandatory check-in for all employees and visitors with MySejahtera app, temperature check and physical distancing. Mandatory check-in with MySejahtera app is also required by employees before boarding employee transport with mandatory use of face masks and physical distancing.

The enforcement authorities including the respective Ministries and agencies have been carrying out nationwide enforcement operation to ensure that the revised SOPs under MCO 3.0 are carried out. Companies that abuse the approval to operate or fail to adhere to the SOPs will be issued a stop work order for a period of 7 – 14 days and subject to a maximum compound of RM50,000.

Please be diligent to comply with all the FMCO SOPs and COVID-19 precautionary measures.
