Human Resource Updates: Expansion of SOCSO Prihatin Screening Programme (GPR/30/2020)

Further to FMM Circular GPR/17/2020 dated June 11, 2020, following are updates on the expansion of the coverage of SOCSO’s Prihatin Screening Programme (Program Saringan Prihatin (PSP) that has been now made eligible to all levels of employees insured under SOCSO in all sectors in all the states that are currently under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) i.e. Sabah, Selangor and federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan:

Condition Screening must be arranged by the employer
Coverage • All employees insured under SOCSO including foreign employees in all sectors.
• Contributors that have undergone the test in the past under the PSP are eligible to do the test again in line with the current announcement.

1. FREE: Screening arranged by employer at authorised service provider The cost is FREE for employers that arrange the screening test with SOCSO authorised panel service providers via an appointment. Screening can either be done at clinic/lab or at the workplace by the authorised SOCSO panel service provider only as listed at: Employers must attach the completed Lampiran 1 when arranging for the screening appointment.

2. CLAIMABLE: SOCSO Prihatin Screening Subsidy For employers who want to use the PSP facility through Prihatin Screening Subsidy, the screening can be conducted through a laboratory other than the SOCSO authorised panel of service providers. The cost must first be borne by the employer. Application for the COVID-19 screening subsidy must be submitted online at and be accompanied with the payment receipt. The subsidy is limited to RM150 per employee who has undergone the COVID-19 screening test.
