FMM President, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Soh Thian Lai and FMM Vice President YBhg Datuk Noraini Soltan attended the 2025 Budget Engagement Session with YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance on July 9, 2024. The 2025 Budget will remain focused on achieving the goals set out in the Madani Economy framework said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in his opening remarks. Creativity, competitiveness, digitalisation, artificial intelligence (AI) exploration and civil service reforms are crucial to achieve new goals. FMM President took the opportunity to raise FMM’s proposal on introducing an Accelerated Capital Allowances for AI & Robotic Systems up to a qualifying expenditure of RM5mil for SMEs as well as to convert one of the public universities into an AI & IR4.0 focused University.
