of ASEAN countries. The third of the Series will be on Indonesia which will be held on December 8, 2016 (Thursday) from 8.30am to 5.00pm at The Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
Indonesia, with a total population of 255 million people is Malaysia’s seventh largest trading partner and the third largest among ASEAN countries. Total trade between Malaysia and Indonesia rose by 0.8 per cent from RM59.7 billion in 2014 to RM60.2 billion in 2015. Malaysia’s investment in Indonesia accounted for about RM60 billion in 2015 mainly in key sectors such as oil palm plantation sector, banking, oil and gas, telecommunications and construction. Trade and investment opportunities offered by Indonesia include manufacturing in metals, chemicals, electronics and machinery, infrastructure, agriculture and maritime industry.
The main objective of the seminar is to help FMM members penetrate the Indonesian market by providing updates on the business climate, legislation / regulations, financing, potential business opportunities and sharing of experience in doing business in Indonesia.
