HR & IR Advisory

Member companies of FMM can take the privilege of seeking advice from the HR/IR Advisor on the following:

  • Compliance with the Employment Act, 1955, Industrial Relations Act, 1967, Trade Union’s Act, 1950 and other employment legislations;

  • Trade disputes with Unions and compliance with terms and conditions of collective agree-ments, union recognition and other union related issues;

  • Handling of disciplinary issues at workplace;

  • Dismissal of employees for poor performance and misconduct;

  • Employment contracts and terms and conditions of service;

  • Termination of contracts for retrenchment, retirement, breach of contract and probationers

In addition, members can engage the HR/IR Advisor’s services to review, compile and enhance their employee handbooks, collective agreements, human resource policies, represent at the Labour Court, Industrial Relations Department and in-house consultation, which are undertaken upon request for an agreed fee.
