FMM Excellence Award, an exclusive annual award programme for FMM members in the manufacturing sector, is open for participation. The award recognises achievements by member companies in realising corporate growth, taking their business to the next level of competitiveness and excellence in their operations.

Launched in 2010, this is the 3rd consecutive year that the FMM Excellence Award sets out on its Quest for Continuous Improvement, emphasising the need to constantly innovate and improve business processes and products to remain competitive.

There is NO PARTICIPATION FEE. The THREE categories are – Manufacturer of the Year – SMI, Large and Rising Star of the Year. The evaluation criteria are:

• Leadership
• Marketing
• Innovation
• People
• Operation
• Business Results

These critical factors and the evaluation method are drawn up with the assistance of the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC). Participating member companies need to provide supporting documentation/write-up to demonstrate their commitment and efforts on their quest to achieve excellence in the above criteria. Participating companies are also expected to deliver a short presentation to the Award’s Assessment Committee.

The final shortlisted participants and winners would be announced at the FMM Annual Dinner 2012 in November, which is attended by over 1,300 members, guests and VIPs from government, foreign missions and business leaders. Eligible participants would also be considered for the MPC’s Malaysia Productivity and Innovation Class.

A training session, conducted by the MPC, would be held on April 17, 2012 at Wisma FMM from 9.00am to 1.00pm to assist interested member companies to better understand the questionnaire and learn to use the self evaluation tool.
